We will meet at 10 a.m. at the Bainbridge Island Library where we will tour the Library Gardens. They include a Japanese Haiku Garden, the Mixed Perennial Beds, and the Fern Display Garden. The Gardens are considered one of the most beautiful Library Gardens in the country by Storey Books Publishing.
From the library we will head to John and Karen’s home for a relaxing lunch on the patio overlooking Agate Passage. People are welcome to stroll the
gardens around the house.
We will then head to the Bloedel Reserve at 1 pm which is only a couple of minutes away, for an in depth tour of this unique garden, considered one of the finest botanical gardens in the country. John served as the Horticultural and Grounds Superintendent in the early years and has many interesting stories concerning the history and development of these gardens. A special day not to be missed.
$30 HFF Members, $40 Non-Members – includes lunch but does not include admission to the Bloedel Reserve.
