Description
A Pacific Northwest native that’s most commonly found growing on big-leaf maples. It can be persuaded to also grow on logs, rocks, and the ground as a sedately spreading ground cover. Goes dormant in the summer (wintergreen). Edible root used by Native Americans as treatment for a variety of chest complaints.
