A rare opportunity to explore the fern collection of HFF board members, Richie Steffen and Rick Peterson. This young and developing garden is the home to several collections of rare and unusual plants including about 200 different taxa of ferns.
The ever-expanding garden area covers a little over an acre of the ten-acre park like property. Richie will share his favorite ferns as well as provide tips on the culture and care of the fern collection.
Make a day of it by stopping at one of HFF’s affiliate gardens, Heronswood Garden. It’s just down the road from the Peterson / Steffen Garden!
