A Tour of the Ferns at the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden with Executive Director, Lew Feldman
Our members-only free Winter Webinar Series with the British Pteridological Society is back! Our first of five fern lectures from November to March will take us to Northern California for a virtual garden tour. The UC Berkeley Botanical Garden has nearly 400 species of ferns with the vast majority wild collected. The garden is especially rich in xerophytic ferns, from the southwest US, Mexico, and Central America. Most of our ferns grow well outdoors in USDA Zone 9.
Lew is a Professor of Plant Biology and the Executive Director of the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden. He holds a doctorate in Biology from Harvard University and a B.S. in Botany from the University of California, Davis.
