HFF & BPS Combined Webinar – Dan Yansura on Botanizing for Orchids and Ferns in Myanmar

In 2013 Dan had the opportunity to join a plant trip to Myanmar, where he and his travel companions hiked and camped deep in the mountains and cloud forests to find orchids and ferns in the wild. This talk includes photos of many of the exotic ferns he found there. 

Dan Yansura is a retired scientist with a 40-year interest in ferns. As a volunteer at the San Francisco Botanical Gardens he has helped establish their fern collection. Dan is active in the San Francisco Fern Society and his personal collection consists of more than 300 species, many of which he has grown from spore.
