Join Kyra on a tour of Philadelphia’s own fern wonderland and explore the technology, wealth, innovation and pure pteromannia that has sustained the last freestanding Fernery in the US!
Kyra Matin relocated to Philadelphia last October to work at the Morris Arboretum, but for the last 10 years she had been living and gardening in the Pacific Northwest. Quite the change of climate! She received a Masters in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Washington and studied at the Dunedin Botanic Garden in New Zealand. She serves on the board of the Hardy Fern Foundation and manages their Instagram page.
