When
Join board member of the Hardy Fern Foundation and Dunn Gardens, Chuck Ogburn, and Janet Egger, Dunn Gardens Docent and board member, on a spring walk through the beautiful 1915 Olmsted designed Dunn Garden to view one of the Pacific Northwest’s earliest blooming spring bulbs.
The bright colors of the dainty erythronium crop up among the display beds bringing a welcome spot of color to the spring garden along with other spring ephemerals, early fern unfurling, the heather bank in bloom, magnolias beginning to bloom and much more… Other notable features of Dunn Garden include naturalistic groupings of trees (many of historical stature), broad lawns with borders of shrubs, and woodland walks including the newly introduced Duwamish native trail.
This special tour will be open only for Hardy Fern Foundation participants and we will have the whole garden to ourselves since it is not open to the public on Sundays.
